(FOX NEWS) – Animal hospitals are seeing much more instances of pets suffering from marijuana toxicity.
Veterinarians say this is partly due to much more CBD pet merchandise hitting the markets.
Some pet owners say they give their dogs the treats to decrease anxiousness so far, treats with CBD are not authorized or regulated by the FDA, but are sold labeled as “nutritional supplements.”
Nonetheless, authorities say misleading labeling could incorrectly list the level of “THC” in the item.
Vets are saying the merchandise could influence the kidney or liver.
Given that 2016 CBD poisoning in pets has risen from 16 instances to practically 300 in 2019 so far.
