United States Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue has accepted an invitation by Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-OR) to tour hemp farms in his residence state. The invitation was presented throughout a Senate appropriations subcommittee on Thursday, in which Merkley and other lawmakers pressed Purdue to speed up the rule the USDA’s rulemaking procedure for hemp.
